We are looking for actors to join our team to help us in delivering a range of anti-knife crime workshops to children and young people aged 10-17. The exhibition is currently based at Finsbury Library in St John Street in Islington.
During each workshop visitors are taken into a replica prison cell to give them opportunity to experience what life in prison can be like. When they enter the room an actor (the prisoner) delivers a monologue about his/her life, regrets and feelings. A script is provided but the actor is also free to improvise to make the experience more lifelike. Feedback tells us that this part if the exhibition has the most impact and is most memorable to the children that visit.
Our day rate is £75 and half day £40 if you work up to 2 hours or less. If you are an up and coming actor and are interested in working with a great charity we’d love to hear from you! We will be flexible with your circumstances and there is no minimum commitment to how many days you would have to do, but we hope you would be able to come in on a fairly regular basis. Groups usually come in Mon-Fri during office/school hours.
If this still sounds interesting, please send your CV and/or a show reel with an email stating why you want to work for the Ben Kinsella Trust and what you think you can bring to the role to Sophia Antoniazzi at firstname.lastname@example.org
